Rob Nastoff was the Archduke of the Midwestern United States, and a controversial member of the Nastoff dynasty. Known for his audacity and uncompromising decisions, Nastoff rose to prominence during a certain time period. Unsatisfied with the Midwest's moutainous terrain and lush landscape, Nastoff made the bold and controversial decision to have it flattened. The extensive operation cost millions of dollars, and took 45 years to complete. Many Midwesterners responded negatively, saying "That guy is such a Duke" or simply calling him a "Dukehead." This single project, now celebrated by millions, cemented his place in Midwestern History, and a solid gold, diamond encrusted statue filled with pudding now stands in Millennium Park in Chicago, Illinois.
